Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ wants more Texans for upcoming season

Taylor Sheridan has made parts of Fort Worth his playground. Whether it’s neighborhoods being taken over for the recently wrapped season of Lioness or the numerous instances of free advertising given to the cityscape (and even TCU), Sheridan has offered perhaps the glossiest, most glamorous view of North Texas this side of a Dallas Cowboys documentary.

Now, ahead of Landman‘s upcoming third season on Paramount+, the show is seeking a few extras from the Great State to play the background.

The show is looking for background players for various scenes, from college students to Latino party guests, museum docents and more. There will likely be at least one or two Tommy Norris blowups, because if there’s anything constant on a show about Billy Bob Thornton’s dysfunctional family and the oil business, there’s bound to be some fireworks a few lucky individuals will get to see.

To apply for an extra role, applicants must create an account on MyCastingFile and respond to the open call. Pay ranges for the respective roles range from $150 to $200 for 12 hours of work, and the roles sought to be filled include “College students, “Elderly Latino Male,” “Latino Party Guests,” “Museum docents,” and “Museum Security.” While some roles won’t require costumes, others will have costume fittings, and for the “Latino Party Guests,” some actors are being asked to bring their vehicles to park in front of the home at the party.

When we last left the Norris family, Tommy and his son, Cooper (Jacob Lofland), partnered with the Norris family patriarch, Thomas (Sam Elliott), to launch CTT Oil and Cattle shortly after Cami (Demi Moore) fired him from M-Tex. While details about the ins and outs of season 3 have been scarce, production finally started earlier this week, and two notable members of CTT Oil and Cattle, Nate (Colm Feore) and Mustafa Speaks (Boss), have been promoted to series regulars.

Hopefully it doesn’t take until early 2027 to see how everything falls out. And for a few Texans to get their brief time in the television spotlight.
