Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke will deliver her annual State of the City Address for 2026 this coming Thursday, May 14.. “I will be sharing updates on City priorities, key achievements and the vision ahead for Surrey,” Locke stated in a social media post.. “I enncourage everyone to tune in live on the City of Surrey’s Facebook page.” The luncheon will run between noon and 2 p.m.. at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel at 15269 104 Avenue but her speech will be livestreamed.. Locke received a standing ovation for her roughly 40-minute 2025 State of the City Address at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel, which was also on May 14 – a speech laden with capital projects, meeting challenges in schooling and healthcare, building up the city’s transportation network and addressing other growth-related pressures.. “I often say Surrey is a house on fire,” she said.. “Surrey is just moving so fast, it’s quite incredible.”
