Spencer Pratt Denies Reality Series on LA Mayoral Bid

Spencer Pratt says reports of a reality show tracking his Los Angeles mayoral campaign are false, insisting no contract exists and no cameras are following him.

Spencer Pratt is pushing back on the latest chatter about his Los Angeles mayoral run, and it’s not subtle. While outlets reported that cameras could be rolling for a reality series tied to his campaign and potential “aftermath” if he won, Pratt’s camp says the idea is simply not happening.

TMZ reported that Pratt had signed a deal with Boardwalk Pictures to follow him during his bid for mayor. and Deadline echoed the claim. saying production was already underway.. Given Pratt’s reality-TV roots—he rose to fame on MTV’s late-’00s hit The Hills—the rumor that he’d be followed by cameras as he tried to win over Angelenos didn’t exactly land out of left field.

But representatives for Heidi Montag’s husband moved quickly to shut it down.. Speaking to TheWrap, they said: “This is inaccurate.. There is no series in production and cameras have not been following the campaign.. He does not have any signed contract.. No contract exists related to this because it isn’t true.”

They also added a firmer end point when they spoke to US Weekly, telling the outlet he has “no plans to do so” on top of the denial. In other words, Pratt’s team is drawing a hard line: no cameras now, no signed deal, and no reality show planned for the future.

For fans trying to keep tabs on his campaign, the focus shifts back to real-world political activity. Earlier this week, Katharine McPhee and David Foster hosted a fundraiser for him.
