Snoop Dogg Opens Tailgate Beach Club at Mandalay Bay

Snoop Dogg headlined the celebrity-filled launch of Tailgate Beach Club at Mandalay Bay on Saturday, drawing a crowd of athletes, influencers and sports fans—along with a clear message from venue leadership: Las Vegas sports culture is now built around game sc

Snoop Dogg arrived at Mandalay Bay for the opening of Tailgate Beach Club on Saturday, and by the afternoon the new sports-driven dayclub was already packed.

The grand opening drew a celebrity-heavy mix of arrivals, athletes and social media faces as the venue officially opened its doors. Among those spotted were Tony Hawk, members of the San Francisco 49ers, social media personality Jena Frumes, and cast members from Love Island and Love Is Blind.

The performance helped headline the festivities, but the message from the club’s leadership went deeper than the star power. Clique Hospitality COO Craig O’Keefe said Tailgate Beach Club reflects how much the Las Vegas sports calendar has shifted in recent years.

“It’s changed pretty much everything,” O’Keefe said.. “The old Vegas calendar was built around conventions, fight weekends, and whoever was headlining a residency.. Now?. We’re planning around the Raiders schedule. Golden Knights games. F1 weekend. March Madness. Super Bowls coming through on rotation. and pretty soon the A’s playing baseball right here.”

He also described the gap he sees at other venues—places that try to label themselves sports-friendly without recreating the atmosphere of live games.

“A lot of places still treat sports like wallpaper,” O’Keefe said. “You can’t just throw up more TVs and call it a sports venue.”

Tailgate Beach Club, he argued, is designed around something more communal: the shared surge of emotion that comes when the entire room is watching the same moment.

“When your team is playing, you want to be surrounded by people losing their minds at the same moment you are,” O’Keefe added.

The opening of Tailgate Beach Club at Mandalay Bay wasn’t just a party in the middle of the Strip—it was a public statement about where the city’s attention now goes, and how sports culture is starting to drive the rhythm of Vegas life.
