George Lucas brought out a huge list of stars to celebrate the opening of his new museum!
The 82-year-old Star Wars creator and his wife Mellody Hobson hosted the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art Opening Night on Saturday (September 19) in Los Angeles.
The event was held ahead of the museum’s official opening to the public on Tuesday (September 22).
Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Michael B. Jordan and dozens more were among the stars who stepped out for the massive celebration.

There were plenty of Star Wars stars in attendance, including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Samuel L. Jackson and Hayden Christensen.
Harrison was joined by wife Calista Flockhart, while Hayden made a rare appearance with his 11-year-old daughter Briar Rose, whom he shares with ex Rachel Bilson.
Other actors in attendance included Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Nicolas Cage, Michael B. Jordan, Laura Dern, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, Tracee Ellis Ross, Queen Latifah, Cynthia Erivo, Woody Harrelson, Vin Diesel, Andy Garcia, David Oyelowo and Owen Wilson.



The event also brought out some of Hollywood’s biggest filmmakers, including Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Christopher Nolan, Peter Jackson, Spike Lee, Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Favreau, Guillermo del Toro, Denis Villeneuve, Greta Gerwig, Jon M. Chu, Edgar Wright, Lee Daniels, Robert Zemeckis, Tyler Perry and Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

The guest list extended well beyond the movie industry.
Katy Perry attended with boyfriend Justin Trudeau, while Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Lewis Hamilton both stepped out for the event. Kim and Lewis walked the red carpet separately, but were photographed together inside the party.


Doja Cat, Camila Cabello, Janelle Monáe, Babyface, Pharrell Williams, Magic Johnson, Kris Jenner, Law Roach, Amanda Gorman and George R.R. Martin were also among the famous guests.
What Happened at the Lucas Museum Opening Night?
George and Mellody co-founded the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which is dedicated to visual storytelling and features art ranging from paintings and photography to comics, illustration and cinema.
The opening celebration was co-chaired by Julie Bell, Tom Cruise, Greta Gerwig, Lewis Hamilton, Jensen Huang, JR, Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro and Pharrell Williams.
Voices of Fire performed during the event with Jon Batiste on piano and an additional 75 singers. The Black Eyed Peas later gave a surprise performance.
The night also included a drone show featuring images inspired by works in the museum’s collection, including the Millennium Falcon.
The five-story museum is located in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park and includes more than 100,000 square feet of gallery space. It officially opens to the public on September 22.
