RHOSLC’s Angie Katsanevas Opens Up About Split From Husband Shawn Trujillo, Reveals Why She Didn’t Think It Would Ever Happen | Just Jared

Angie Katsanevas is speaking out about her split from her longtime husband, Shawn Trujillo.

The 52-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star and her husband of 27 years were revealed to have broken up back in July, and the end of their relationship is playing out on the new season of the Bravo reality show, which recently premiered.

In a new interview, Angie said she “absolutely not” would have believed she and her husband would grow apart.

“Never in a million years,” she told E! News. “No, it’s a hard thing to go through when you’re questioning your future and what that looks like for you as a couple.”

A reason why she never would have seen a split coming is her faith as a practicing Greek Orthodox Christian.

“In my religion or faith, you’re together forever,” Angie said. “That was my goal, obviously, in marrying Shaw

She also said she’ll continue to be open about her life on and off reality TV.

“We’re facing challenges,” she shared, “I’m always honest about what I’m going through, what I’m dealing with at home.”

“You’re not only facing these challenges at home, but you have to share them with the world,” she added. “So I just do my best to be vulnerable, honest and real.”

In addition to their salon business, Angie and Shawn are also parents to a 15-year-old daughter, Elektra.

While speaking of E! News, Angie confirmed she wouldn’t be taking a similar route to co-star Bronwyn Newport in dating around right away.

“She’s not even divorced yet, and she’s already tried out six new models, and of all ages, and good for her,” she teased. “I’m a little old school, so I usually would probably personally wait until it was official. But good for her, good for her.”
