RHOC’s Shannon Beador Shares Archie’s Death

Shannon Beador says her dog Archie died after being diagnosed with brain cancer, sharing an emotional tribute on Instagram.
A heartbreaking update landed for Real Housewives of Orange County fans this week: Shannon Beador says her dog Archie has died after a brain cancer diagnosis.
Beador, 62, shared the news on Instagram, writing that she was revealing the loss after she had previously told followers the diagnosis came following multiple seizures. She posted the somber update on Thursday, March 14, explaining that Archie passed away the day before.
In her tribute. Beador described Archie as more than a pet. calling him a “constant comfort” and “best friend” who served as a protector in her day-to-day life.. She also said the dog had been “the real ‘man’” in her household for roughly a decade. emphasizing that he never judged her and offered steady. unconditional love.
Beador added that there is now “such a void” in the home, writing that she and her family—along with “the girls”—are heartbroken. Her caption framed Archie as a stabilizing presence through both the highs and lows she has described publicly over the years.
The emotional announcement follows Beador’s earlier disclosure that Archie had been diagnosed with brain cancer. That update, posted on Tuesday, May 5, came after she said Archie had experienced multiple seizures and then received care from both a neurologist and an oncologist.
As part of her efforts to help Archie, Beador said he had been recommended to begin radiation soon. In the same post, she asked followers for advice and experience with similar treatment protocols, urging people to DM her if they had guidance to share.
Long before the cancer diagnosis, Archie’s story included another serious health moment.. In a June 2024 social media post. Beador said Archie was injured in 2024 after being bitten by another canine while they were on a walk.. She described the situation as involving a dog that was behind a fence, then reached through slats to bite Archie.
Beador recalled being told the incident might have happened because she walked too close to the other dog’s fence. and she stressed that Archie had “never been in a dog fight” in his eight years at that point.. The account also shows how much she had been monitoring Archie’s wellbeing well before the later diagnosis.
Nearly two months after Archie recovered from that bite injury. Beador returned to social media with further worry. telling fans at the time that Archie was “in heaven.” She later clarified what she meant in another upload from August 2024. explaining that she used the phrase because there were “little dogs” around him at what she described as a puppy play date.
Beador tied that moment to Archie’s personality, saying little dogs were his favorite and that he was “great” in the setting she referenced. Taken together with her later updates, it underscores how deeply public posts have tracked Archie’s physical ups and downs and her hopes for what came next.
Archie also has a long personal history with Beador: she adopted him in 2016.. In a 2019 video shared by Bravo. she described Archie as having been raised in San Francisco at the Four Seasons hotel. where residents and staff were often around. and she said the dog had spent much of his early life home alone.
Beador characterized Archie as “fancy” and full of personality, describing him as playful and protective while also having “little sweet quirks.” Those details help explain why the latest news has hit so hard with fans who have followed the story of Archie’s bond with her family.
Her connection to Archie has also included past moments of separation. In November 2021, Beador reported that Archie had gone missing and later shared that he was “home,” thanking everyone who helped during the night, including a neighbor who took him in and kept him safe.
As Archie’s final chapter closes. Beador’s posts make clear that the relationship has spanned years of care. recovery. and hope—moving from recovery after injuries. to a fight plan after a cancer diagnosis. and finally to a farewell she says leaves a profound gap in the household.. For now. her message is the same one threaded through every update: Archie meant the world to her and the girls. and the love was unmistakably mutual.

Ugh that’s so sad about Archie. Cancer is awful.
Wait I thought she said he was okay after the seizures or whatever, so did the radiation not work? Idk I’m just confused.
Man “the real man” in the house got me. I’m sorry though, brain cancer in dogs sounds terrifying. Also RHOC fans always jump on her for everything so I hope people can just be decent for once. That void stuff is real.
I saw this headline and assumed it was like… her show dog died or something, but no it’s her actual Archie. Brain cancer + seizures = that’s basically the worst combo. Radiation is supposed to help right? They always say animals bounce back but then it doesn’t. Anyway prayers for her and her family and yeah the girls too I guess.
