Queen Camilla is ‘absolutely livid’ King Charles didn’t shut down Charles Spencer’s Princess Diana memoir, source says: ‘She’s furious that more wasn’t done’

Queen Camilla is reportedly furious over Charles Spencer‘s new book about Princess Diana.
According to a source, Her Majesty isn’t happy that King Charles III and their attorneys didn’t stop the publication of Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.
Camilla is ‘absolutely livid’ Charles didn’t shut down Spencer’s Diana memoir
In the tell-all, the late Princess of Wales’ brother claimed the leader of England told him the world would quickly “forget” Diana after she died in 1997.
“Camilla is absolutely livid and demanding to know why the King and all the lawyers they pay through the nose to have on retainer couldn’t have stopped this,” an insider told Closer.
“As far as she’s concerned, this was avoidable and she’s furious that more wasn’t done,” the source said.
Camilla has ‘worked so hard’ to move past the Diana narrative
While Camilla is now seen in a more favorable light, the book has once again cast her in a negative light in the story of Charles and Diana’s downfall.
“She’s worked so hard to move past the whole narrative that she was the evil ‘other woman,’” the insider claimed.
“Now here she is, being dragged right back through the mud,” the source added.
Camilla feels there are ‘hurtful anecdotes’ about her in the book
While Spencer’s book mostly takes aim at the former Prince of Wales and his relationship with his ex-wife, his second spouse is reportedly feeling the pain of the accusations.
“Camilla may not have been heavily mentioned in the book, at least not directly,” the insider noted.
“But there are still plenty of references and hurtful anecdotes that make her a central character and obviously not in a good way,” they added.
Although the allegations have rocked the royal family, Camilla reportedly isn’t shocked.
“For Camilla, that’s just typical of [Spencer]. He knows she and her allies wouldn’t take kindly to her being savaged or called out directly as this wicked witch who ruined Diana’s marriage,” the source alleged.
“So the sense is that he decided to unload on the King for the most part, then let Camilla’s behavior speak for itself,” the insider said.
