Prince Harry has ‘no intention’ of giving up being ‘his own boss,’ source says: ‘He has a huge amount of freedom now, which is exactly what he wanted’ 

Prince Harry is reportedly determined to succeed in the U.K.

According to a source, the Duke of Sussex desperately wants to make being a charitable, non-working royal work now that he’s back in England.

Harry has ‘no intention’ of giving up being ‘his own boss’

While The Firm reportedly shut the door on the idea of Harry rejoining, he believes he’s doing great on his own.

“Being back in the U.K. has really highlighted how different things are in his life now, he’s his own boss and he has no intention of giving that up,” an insider told Closer.

“He has a huge amount of freedom now, which is exactly what he wanted. He says all the time how refreshing it is not to have somebody dictating, which causes he can support or telling him where he needs to be and when,” the source pointed out.

Harry and Meghan are doing things on their own ‘timeframe’

Now that the Spare author and his wife, Meghan Markle, have moved themselves and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to Harry’s home country, they are eager to make their mark in their own way.

“He and Meghan can choose the things that genuinely resonate with them, do it on their own timeframe and approach it all in a much more relaxed way,” the insider noted.

“He’s always felt that the royal way of doing things is far too stuffy and out of touch,” they alleged.

Harry is ‘feeling very empowered’

Despite not having the support of the institution, the father of two believes he can succeed without them.

“People can try and tear him down, but he’s feeling very empowered right now, so it’s not going to have a lot of effect on him,” the source said.

“He says people want authenticity, that’s what they connect with and he says that’s what he and Meghan can offer and he’s got no doubts they can do it in a much better way than any of the royals ever could,” the insider explained.

Harry is ‘supporting causes he believes in’ just like Diana

Although Harry has faced criticism, he believes he’s doing exactly what Princess Diana did.

“People can sneer and accuse him of cashing in on his royal status all they like, but the reality is that much of the time, he isn’t even being paid,” the source claimed.

“He says he’s simply supporting causes he believes in, on his own terms, just the way his mother taught him to. And if the royals don’t like it, odds are it’s because they are envious,” they added.
