Maintenance works will cause scheduled power interruptions in parts of Metro Manila, Rizal, and Laguna this week, according to Misryoum.
Power may be out or unstable in several neighborhoods across Metro Manila, Rizal, and Laguna this week due to scheduled maintenance work, Misryoum reports.
The disruptions include outages in Valenzuela City’s Brgy. Ugong on May 4, with affected areas seeing no electricity from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Misryoum also notes Makati City will have a separate interruption in Brgy. San Lorenzo on May 5 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Meanwhile, in Manila, power interruptions are set for areas near Piña Ave. in Sampaloc on May 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., while some portions of Punta and Sta. Ana are scheduled for outages on May 10 in two time windows.
These scheduled windows are usually tied to upgrading or reworking lines, so households and businesses are often advised to plan around the downtime.
In Caloocan City, Misryoum says parts of Grace Park will experience no power from May 6 to 7 between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. The maintenance work there involves replacing hazardous wood electricity poles along 11th Ave. and nearby streets.
In Taguig City, several villages including Katuparan, Ugong, Pinagsama, and North Signal Village are listed for short power interruptions from May 6 to 8 due to line reconstruction works.. Some areas in Pinagsama and North Signal are also scheduled for an interruption on May 6 between 11:30 p.m.. and 11:59 p.m.
For Taguig, Misryoum also points to additional scheduled outages affecting parts of Katuparan, Ususan, and North Signal on May 7 during three early-morning and late-night periods, again linked to line reconstruction along 8th St.. Some areas in Katuparan and North Signal will later see brief interruptions on May 8 between 1:30 a.m.. and 2:30 a.m., and between 3 a.m.. and 3:30 a.m.
In Laguna, Misryoum says areas in Brgy. Botocan, Majayjay, and parts of Luisiana including Brgy. San Rafael and Brgy. San Roque will be without power on May 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work involves line reconductoring along Majayjay–Luisiana Road.
Misryoum adds that in Calamba City, locations around Carmelray Industrial Park 1 in Brgy. Canlubang, including Toshiba Storage Device Philippines Inc. and Sercomm Philippines Inc., are scheduled for no power on May 9 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. due to line reconductoring along Innovation Drive.
In Rizal, Misryoum reports that a portion of Eastwind Homes Village and Eastwood Greenview Subdivision Phase 3 will experience no electricity on May 6 from 12:01 a.m.. to 4 a.m.. due to installation of electricity facilities along Centella St.. Brgy.. San Rafael in Rodriguez is also included in this schedule.. Later, parts of Teresa including Brgy.. Calumpang Sto.. Cristo and Brgy.. Dulumbayan are set for power interruptions on May 8 between 11 a.m.. and 2 p.m.. linked to line reconstruction works along La Trinidad and Pantaleon streets.
