Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration finally arrives this week — and one store already has it on sale

The Pokémon Company is celebrating its 30th anniversary in a big way this week.

It’s releasing the special edition “Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration” collection on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 12:01 local time at Amazon, Walmart, GameStop and Best Buy.

Fan should get excited for this commemorative launch that comes with all foil cards, one of 30 Pikachu rare cards in each “30th Celebration” booster pack, Pokémon illustrated in daytime and nighttime moments and 30 classic Pokémon cards returning to the Pokémon TCG.

Plus, the collection introduces a new card rarity called Futuristic rare with new illustrations by renowned Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN.

Pokémon 30th Celebration TCG Packs: Where to find them on sale

Here are all the TCG packs on the way in the “Pokémon 30th Celebration” collection:

• 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box ($83, instead of $90 on Amazon) with nine 30th Celebration booster packs, one illustration rare–style promo card featuring Nidorina and various gameplay accessories. Prices range from
• 30th Celebration Poster Collection ($30) with three 30th Celebration booster packs; three promo cards featuring Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres; and one full-size, two-sided poster featuring cards found in the 30th Celebration expansion
• 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection ($30) with three 30th Celebration booster packs; one foil promo card featuring Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario; and one corresponding sticker sheet for personalizing laptops, tablets and other tech devices
• 30th Celebration Pokémon ex Box ($45) with four 30th Celebration booster packs, one promo card featuring Sylveon ex or Greninja ex and one corresponding oversize card
• 30th Celebration Knock Out Collection ($20) with two 30th Celebration booster packs, one foil promo card featuring Eevee and one commemorative coin

Best Buy and GameStop are selling the elite trainer box in-store only. However, you can find it online at Walmart and Amazon.

Amazon actually has the elite trainer box on sale already for 7% off, selling it for $83, instead of $90. Fans can purchase this by invitation only after hitting “Request Invite” on the listing.

Walmart has the elite trainer box currently listed at $175, but the price should drop when it goes live at midnight.

Several more packs from the collection will release later in the year, including a boost bundle box, mini tins (available for pre-order) and a binder collection on Oct. 2 and a the Umbreon ex En Battle Deck on Oct. 30. These are followed by the “Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection,” the Ditto premium collection and the a Mew figure collection on Nov. 6 as well as a “30th Celebration” tin on Dec. 4.

But you’ll have to act fast to get the “Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration” because the excitement around this set is so high amongst fans and scalpers that it’s predicted to sell out quickly.
