Pete Davidson Can’t Wait for Baby Daughter To See ‘Wacky Stuff’ Dad Owns

Pete Davidson is settling into life as a first-time dad after welcoming his baby daughter with Elsie Hewitt. While fatherhood has brought a new chapter to his life, the comedian is already thinking about the unusual experiences his daughter may one day share with him. One of those plans involves a rather unexpected piece of property that Davidson hopes to pass down to her one day.
Pete Davidson’s baby daughter will inherit this ‘wacky’ piece of dad’s life one day, and he’s excited
Davidson recently opened up about fatherhood while discussing one of his most unusual possessions. He and Colin Jost purchased a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry in 2022, and the comedians have since used the vessel for various events.
While speaking to PEOPLE about a comedy show they hosted aboard the ferry, Davidson joked about Scottie’s future connection to the unusual purchase. “Scottie will inherit this one day,” Davidson said. “I’m very lucky and excited to be a dad. It’s been a real joy and it’s awesome.”
Davidson also looks forward to showing Scottie the ferry when she is older. “I can’t wait for her to come and see wacky stuff like this. That’s gonna be so cool,” he said. Davidson and Jost purchased the decommissioned John F. Kennedy ferry for $280,000 in 2022. They have since used the vessel for events, including their September comedy show, when it was transformed into the Snapple Island Ferry.
Fatherhood has also changed Davidson’s priorities. He previously praised Hewitt as a mother while discussing the experience of becoming a dad. Being a dad is “awesom” Davidson said in March. “It is exhausting and rewarding and cute.”
Davidson and Hewitt split in May 2026, months after welcoming Scottie. Despite the breakup, Davidson has continued to praise her as a mother. For Davidson, fatherhood has added a new kind of excitement to his life.
