Drake Maye couldn’t protect the football on Sunday, as the New England Patriots fell way behind against the Jaguars.
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye got hammered by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, turning in one of the worst performances of his NFL career. Maye got benched for Tommy DeVito, per NFL reporter Albert Breer.
“Drake Maye, after three more turnovers, is done for the day,” Breer posted to X, formerly Twitter.
The Patriots are getting blown out by the Jaguars on Sunday. Maye would end up throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble. New England would lose, 35-6.
Maye had a very rough outing. He would finish his day with 199 passing yards. The Patriots are now 1-2 on the season, after reaching last year’s Super Bowl game.
