Oshana police hunt suspect after killing pensioner, injuring minor

Police in the Oshana region are searching for a 30-year-old man who allegedly broke into a home, killed an 83-year-old woman, and severely injured a four-year-old boy.
An 83-year-old woman was allegedly killed and a four-year-old boy seriously injured during an alleged attack at Ondiyamande village in the Oshana region on Friday.. According to the Namibian Police, the incident occurred while the elderly woman and the child were asleep at their home.. National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi on Sunday said a 30-year-old male suspect allegedly forced his way into the house before attacking the victims.. “It is alleged that the
30-year-old male suspect came home while the deceased and the victim were sleeping.. He smashed the room window, gained entry and assaulted the victims,” Shikwambi said in the weekend serious incidents report.. The elderly woman died from injuries sustained during the attack, while the child survived.. The police said the suspect fled the scene and remains at large.. He allegedly contacted the deceased’s son by phone after the incident and informed him about the attack,
