Oregon Ducks Receiver Evan Stewart Booked on DUII Charge in Springfield, Jail Records Show

A staff member at the Springfield Municipal Jail confirmed on Sunday that a person identified as Evan Stewart was booked into the facility early that morning on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, commonly known as DUII.
According to the jail records and information provided to reporters, the booking occurred at approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 18. Jail officials stated that Stewart spent about an hour in custody before being released at approximately 8 a.m. to a third party. The name of the individual who took custody of Stewart matches the name of another wide receiver on the Oregon Ducks football roster.
The reported booking surfaced following the spread of unverified claims and posts on various social media platforms alleging that multiple members of the Oregon Ducks football team had recently been arrested.
University of Oregon athletic department officials and representatives for the football program were contacted for comment and confirmation regarding the reported arrest. The program had not provided a statement or official response as of Sunday.
Local authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the traffic stop or the specific observations made by responding officers prior to the booking. Further updates will be provided should law enforcement agencies or university officials release additional information.
