Noah Syndergaard Fires Back at Alex Cooper Diss

Noah Syndergaard addresses Alex Cooper’s 2023 contract diss, saying he’s living rent-free in her head and calling it a cheap shot.
Noah Syndergaard didn’t wait long to answer a lingering barb from his ex, Alex Cooper, and his response is equal parts calm and pointed.
The former New York Mets star. who dated the “Call Her Daddy” host in 2017. stepped onto OutKick’s “Tomi Lahren is Fearless” podcast this week and was asked about a savage diss Cooper made on her show back in 2023.. Syndergaard said he had not spoken with her in years. framing her continued discussion of him as proof that the moment stayed with her.
“I haven’t spoken to her in eight years or so,” Syndergaard said. “So, I guess I continue to live rent-free in her head. I don’t really know.” His wording landed like a shrug with bite, shifting the focus from whether the comment was accurate to the fact that it was still being brought up.
The original remark Cooper delivered in 2023 didn’t use Syndergaard’s name. but it was clearly understood by listeners to be about him.. On her platform. Cooper said she “can’t get a f***ing contract. ” and the implication—widely read as a reference to “Thor. ” Syndergaard’s nickname—sparked plenty of conversation.
Syndergaard addressed that framing directly, calling the move a “cheap shot” while also acknowledging the boundaries of free expression. “Cheap shot, but she’s entitled to her own opinion and freedom of speech,” he said. “I can’t really control what comes out of her mouth.”
He added that the comment didn’t land as something that truly upset him, describing it instead as almost amusing. “It doesn’t really bother me … It’s kind of comical, but whatever,” Syndergaard said, suggesting he sees the drama as more performative than personal.
During the same conversation, Lahren connected Cooper’s earlier history to her current drama involving Alix Earle. Lahren suggested that Cooper might be a different person now, implying she may have matured or changed her approach compared with the past.
Syndergaard pushed back on that idea, saying he didn’t believe the “different woman now” premise was likely.. However, he also said he didn’t want to get pulled deeper into specifics.. “I don’t want to get into it. ” he admitted. noting he wasn’t trying to “kick the hornets nest” further than it already was.
With that. Syndergaard’s message became clear: he’s willing to clap back. but he’s also trying to step out of the ongoing cycle of internet-fueled narratives.. The remark about avoiding additional escalation points to a man who wants the heat to die down—even if he’s still willing to comment when his name is invoked.

Rent-free in her head? Dude you literally keep talking about it lol.
I don’t even know what Noah Syndergaard is talking about but if she said she can’t get a contract that sounds like she’s just mad. Free speech or whatever, but that’s still messy.
Wait so the Mets guy is like defending Thor? I’m confused because Thor is literally the whole contract thing right? Also he says he’s not upset but he’s on a podcast like immediately… seems like he’s upset.
This is all publicity. Like he’s acting chill, but the second someone mentions his name he’s there. And Tomi Lahren bringing up Alix Earle drama makes it sound like a soap opera. Also didn’t she say it without his name? so why everyone acting like it’s confirmed??
