Nancy Mace Calls for Lindsay Clancy’s ‘Public Execution’ in Absolutely Bonkers TMZ Interview

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) called for the “public execution” of Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother who was charged with killing her three young children, during a wild Monday interview with TMZ DC.
Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, admitted to killing her children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan — with exercise bands in the basement of her Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. Her attorneys argued she was not criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder. Her murder trial ended in a mistrial on Sept. 4 after six days of deliberations, with the jury deadlocked 11-1 in favor of acquittal.
Her lawyer, Kevin Reddington, asked President Donald Trump to pardon his client last week. The president has since declined, calling the matter “very sad,” but a “state situation.”
Mace told TMZ DC’s Jacob Wasserman of Reddington’s request, “Which is how [bleeped] it is because he knows, as an attorney in the state of Massachusetts, you can’t ask for a federal pardon for a state case. I mean, it doesn’t take a lawyer — I’m not even a lawyer. I didn’t go to law school. It doesn’t take a lawyer to figure that out.”
Calling the ask for a pardon a “publicity stunt,” “nasty,” and “ugly,” Mace continued, “Her children are dead. She should be dead too.”
“You’re saying she should be dead too?” Wasserman clarified.
“She should get the death penalty,” the South Carolina congresswoman confirmed. “It should be public. It should be a public execution.”
“What would that look like?” the TMZ DC reporter further questioned. “You’re saying she deserves a public execution — ”
“Oh, absolutely,” Mace doubled down. “She killed her kids. She deserves nothing less. Three kids are dead.”
When pressed for more detail on what she meant by a “public execution,” Mace explained, “It could be by a firearm; it could be the electric chair. I don’t really care.”
“You’d like to see that? You’d like to see Lindsay Clancy get the electric chair in front of a crowd of people?” Wasserman once more reiterated.
“A hundred percent,” said Mace. “She’s a serial killer. She should get the electric chair. She should get the death penalty. It should be public. It should be a warning to women everywhere. You don’t kill your kids.
After the reporter remarked that her comments were “a little out of bounds,” the congresswoman concluded, “No. Absolutely not. Child rapists too. Add them to the list of public executions, yes.”
