MS Now political commentator Peter Alexander will be making his debut on Golf Channel Wednesday around the Presidents Cup outside Chicago. Alexander, who went to school at Northwestern, will be contributing a pair of pieces to Golf Channel’s “Live From” Wednesday, which airs at 4pm ET. Alexander, a longtime White House correspondent for NBC, currently hosts the daily show “State of Play” on MS Now.
“There’s a lot of similarities between audience for Golf Channel and CNBC. MS Now, maybe not as much yet,” Alexander said Wednesday. “(But) for guys like me, it’s, ‘Hey, this is the audience I’m familiar with and here’s something that I’m passionate about. So let me just tell you a story on a different topic.’ And I hope to bring some of that audience with me.That’s what I’m excited about.”
Alexander has written a pair of pieces for “Live From” around the Presidents Cup. One on the presidential tie-ins to the golf tournament, and another on the Cubs LF Ian Happ, whose father was a former agronomist with the USGA.
Beyond this week, Alexander has plans to chip in on more sports offerings for the Versant-owned networks in the future.
