Polyarc is packaging Moss, Moss: Book II, and the Twilight Garden DLC into Moss: The Forgotten Relic, a new release for PC and consoles later this summer.
A VR favorite is stepping out of the headset and into living rooms. Developer Polyarc says Moss and its sequel, Moss: Book II, are arriving on consoles and PC as a single bundle called Moss: The Forgotten Relic.
The package includes Moss, Moss: Book II, and the Twilight Garden DLC. Polyarc also says the collection has been “beautifully enhanced and reimagined,” a promise that matters for a game built around VR’s way of letting players lean in, look around, and act.
In the original VR versions, players don’t just watch Quill move through the world.. The headset is used to control Quill. while the player acts like a God over the gameworld. using the freedom to look around and take actions that affect the level.. The new trailer suggests that same sense of oversight remains on console and PC. even as the delivery looks more traditional.
On those platforms, the camera system follows the mouse avatar, though the trailer doesn’t fully spell out how it works. Still, the footage shows players reaching across levels with God-like powers, indicating the core mechanic won’t be abandoned—just adapted.
Polyarc says the console and PC versions will feature new “handcrafted cutscenes. ” plus a fresh accessibility option that lets players skip difficult combat sections.. That change is likely to broaden who can comfortably play. especially since the games offer plenty of puzzles for people who want to focus on exploring and problem-solving.
Moss: The Forgotten Relic is due out sometime this summer. It will be available on PC via Steam, and also on Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
VR-to-flat-screen ports aren’t common, but the other direction has been happening steadily—VR versions of Resident Evil, Hitman, No Man’s Sky, and Borderlands 2 are all examples of how headset-friendly experiments can cross over.
