Masters of the Universe Premieres in Hollywood Ahead of June 5

Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Idris Elba and more hit the TCL Chinese Theatre red carpet on Monday night, May 18, as Masters of the Universe heads to theaters on June 5.
A couple weeks of waiting felt suddenly shorter on Monday night, May 18, when Masters of the Universe turned the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood into a full-on red-carpet stage.
Nicholas Galiztine, Camila Mendes, and Idris Elba were among the stars stepping out for the world premiere, with fans lining up for an early look before the film’s June 5 theatrical release.
The cast kept the momentum going. Alison Brie and Morena Baccarin arrived along with Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Sasheer Zamata, and Hafpor Julius Bjornsson. Director Travis Knight was also on hand, while Dolph Lundgren—who played He-Man in the 1987 movie—joined the celebration.
On the story side. the film picks up when the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Galitzine) back to Eternia after 15 years apart.. What he finds is brutal: his home has been shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto).. To save his family and his world. Adam teams up with Teela (Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Elba) and leans into his true destiny as He-Man—the most powerful man in the universe.
Red-carpet details came fast too. Camila Mendes was spotted in a Cong Tri dress, and Idris Elba walked the carpet with his wife, Sabrina Elba.
