Los Angeles Chargers Release Week 6 Injury Report Ahead of Chiefs Showdown

The Los Angeles Chargers have officially released their game status designations for the upcoming Week 6 showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs, revealing a heavily impacted roster as the team prepares to travel to Arrowhead Stadium.

Headlining the list of unavailable players are five individuals who have been entirely ruled out for Sunday’s contest. The sidelined group includes offensive lineman Joe Alt, who is dealing with a neck injury, and star safety Derwin James, who continues to recover from a hamstring issue. They are joined on the inactive list by Donte Jackson, who is also nursing a hamstring injury, Kayode Awosika due to a fibula issue, and wide receiver Tre’ Harris, who is out with a hamstring injury.

In addition to the five players ruled out, the Chargers listed cornerback Rodney Shelley as doubtful to play as he deals with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, six additional players carry questionable designations into the weekend. That group features linebackers Daiyan Henley and Bud Dupree, both managing knee and neck issues respectively, alongside defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell, who is dealing with a knee injury. Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith, defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, and Brenen Thompson are also listed as questionable with hamstring and quadricep concerns.

Despite the extensive list of absences and questionable tags, the franchise received some positive news regarding player availability. The Chargers officially opened KeAndre Lambert-Smith’s 21-day practice window on Wednesday, offering a potential path back to the active lineup in the near future. Furthermore, a total of eight players have been cleared entirely from the injury report and are fully expected to play on Sunday.

Among those returning to action are wide receivers Ladd McConkey, dealing with a previous foot issue, and Quentin Johnston, recovering from a chest injury. Khalil Mack is also good to go, alongside Elijah Molden, Justin Eboigbe, Kendall Williamson, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, and Charlie Kolar.

The Chargers and Chiefs are scheduled to kick off at 1:25 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. Entering the pivotal divisional contest, early betting lines indicate that the Chargers will take the field as underdogs.
