Lone holdout juror calls Lindsay Clancy attorney Kevin Reddington a ‘scumbag,’ says host who interviewed him 

The lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy‘s murder trial reportedly referred to her attorney, Kevin Reddington, as a “scumbag” during a conversation with YouTuber Ray Marcel, who said he spent several hours speaking with the juror after confirming his identity.

Megyn Kelly interviewed Marcel regarding his contact with the juror, identified as Michael. Marcel said he independently verified the juror’s identity and discussed the mistrial and the criticism he received for not joining the other jurors in finding Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity.

“He called Kevin a scumbag. That was the words from him,” Marcel said, adding, “Kevin was the first piece of the puzzle that started this whole thing. It went from Kevin, to NBC Boston, who reported on his background for I don’t know what for.”

Ray Marcel says he verified the juror’s identity

Marcel said he first began looking into the juror after NBC Boston reported details about his background without publicly naming him.

After finding contact information, Marcel said he reached out through multiple channels. They eventually connected after Marcel published a YouTube Short with a code the juror could use to verify his identity.

Marcel said the juror also provided private identification, which he chose not to publish. “He sends me everything like all kind of identification all that. So I’m like okay I’m obviously talking to him,” Marcel said.

During their conversation, Marcel said the juror became concerned about someone outside his home.

“While we were talking he stops and he goes ‘hold on a minute.’ He has a Ring doorbell or camera. There’s a guy creeping around the house while I’m on the phone… This is 24/7, he’s looking for me,” Marcel recounted.

The juror disputed claims that he had doubts

The juror has faced criticism from other panel members after his position contributed to the mistrial in Clancy’s case.

In a statement to NewsNation, Michael P. Desronvil, 48, said he did not doubt that Clancy was responsible for the deaths of her three children.

“I didn’t have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present,” Desronvil said.

He added that the physical evidence, witness testimony, and the prosecution’s case led him to believe Clancy knew what she was doing and had planned it.

Marcel says the jury room was divided

According to Marcel, the juror described a division among the jurors during deliberations from the outset.

“He said there were 8 jurors in there from day 1, who were ‘Lindsay Clancy needs to be set free’ pretty much. ‘This can be great for women.’.. He felt they were activists and not looking at the actual evidence,” Marcel said.

Marcel also discussed another juror, Paula, noting that Michael was not surprised to see her speaking publicly about the case.

“He said Paula was the alpha pretty much of the whole room,” Marcel said. “He was not shocked by how she’s going on the media and talking, and talking. They’re saying ‘this will help women’s rights’ because this is what they were saying when they were inside the juror panel as well.”

Kevin Reddington became a target of the jurors’ criticism

The dispute has also brought Reddington, Clancy’s attorney, into the spotlight.

Marcel said Michael believed the attorney’s actions initiated the scrutiny that ultimately focused on him, particularly after Reddington questioned his conduct during the proceedings.

The juror’s identity became public after significant online attention over the mistrial. NBC Boston later reported allegations about his personal history. Marcel said he believed additional context was needed before drawing conclusions about the juror.
