LG 2026 Gram laptops: prices start at $1,150

LG 2026 – LG’s 2026 Gram lineup is now priced and ready for order, featuring a lighter Aerominum alloy and multiple durability upgrades.

A lighter laptop weight can be the difference between carrying it daily or leaving it behind, and LG’s latest Gram refresh targets that exact pain point.

In Misryoum’s latest update on the 2026 lineup, LG has confirmed pricing and release details for the new Gram models, with the entry point set at $1,150. The key theme this year is weight reduction without giving up sturdiness, supported by a proprietary aluminum-magnesium alloy LG calls Aerominum.

LG says Aerominum helps the 16-inch Gram Pro feel close to the weight of a smaller class of ultraportables. while also aiming to improve rigidity and scratch resistance.. Misryoum notes that LG’s marketing leans on durability as well. with most models carrying military-grade certification. with one exception among the series.

That design choice matters because “portable” is often a trade-off: thinner chassis can mean less protection or more flex. A new material strategy is LG’s attempt to keep the laptop easy to travel with, while still targeting day-to-day toughness.

The lineup includes the Gram Book, positioned as the most accessible option. Misryoum reports that the 15.6-inch Gram Book starts at $1,150 with an Intel Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD, while a 16-inch version starts at $1,500 with a Ryzen AI 7, 32GB RAM, and the same storage.

LG also spells out the intended audience for parts of the range. describing certain configurations as suitable for students and everyday use. particularly where long battery life is a priority.. For shoppers comparing tiers. the pricing ladder climbs from the standard Gram models into the Gram Pro variants and then the convertible 2-in-1.

On the higher end, Misryoum says the 15.6-inch LG Gram starts at $1,600, the flagship Gram Pro begins at $1,650 for a 17-inch model, and a 16-inch Gram Pro variant is priced higher with more storage included. There is also a 16-inch Gram Pro 2-in-1 with a 360-degree hinge, starting at $2,200.

Orders are available now through LG’s website, with additional rollout expected through retail partners. Misryoum adds that LG is offering a 1-year Premium Care service plan for $1 on select models for a limited window through May 10.

This matters for anyone shopping at the “ultraportable but practical” intersection, because the combination of clearer pricing, a new chassis material, and broad durability claims can shift which model feels like the smarter buy in real life, not just on spec sheets.
