Kylie Jenner opened up about being 19 when she became pregnant with Stormi, the panic she felt about telling Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner, and the emotional pressure of hiding the pregnancy before sharing the news after she gave birth.
Kylie Jenner didn’t have to think long about what it felt like to discover she was pregnant at 19—she was “freaking out.” Speaking on the May 14 episode of the “Therapuss with Jake Shane” podcast. the cosmetic mogul described how terrified she was to tell her parents. “I was 19 when I got pregnant. I was freaking out. Yeah, I was freaking out. I was really scared to tell my parents,” Kylie told host Jake Shane.
But the fear didn’t erase what she wanted. Jenner said she “had to make a decision” for herself—asking, “What do I really want? What can I handle? And even if I have to do this alone, or however, this is the choice I’m going to make,” she explained.
Stormi Webster arrived in 2018, and Kylie later welcomed her second child, son Aire Webster, in 2022.. Before any of that, though, her biggest worry was how the conversation would land at home.. “And then I told my mom.. No one was angry at me.. No one.. It was just, it was crazy, crazy times,” she added.
Still, the hardest part wasn’t simply the family talk—it was living with the silence.. Kylie described keeping her pregnancy hidden from the paparazzi and the public, saying, “I really didn’t leave the house.. I felt like, at the time, you know, reflecting back on it, I felt like I was protecting myself.. And I was in a way.”
She also revealed the timing of when she shared the news. Kylie said she “revealed the news only after she had already given birth,” and after she announced Stormi’s arrival, she described herself sobbing “for three hours because it felt like so much weight on my shoulders.”
“It was just a big thing that I was hiding from the world. And I was worried about everyone’s reactions. It was just so emotional. And I’m like, ‘Maybe next time I wouldn’t do that.’”
Jenner shares both Stormi, 8, and Aire, 4, with her ex Travis Scott, the rapper she dated from 2017 to 2022.
