Johnny Knoxville’s teenage son dominates as high school pitcher

Rocko Clapp, Johnny Knoxville’s 16-year-old son, has posted standout pitching numbers for Oakwood High School this season, including strong strikeout and ERA marks.

A teen pitcher with a Hollywood connection is turning heads on the mound.

Rocko Clapp, the 16-year-old son of Jackass star Johnny Knoxville, has been a dominant presence for Oakwood High School in North Hollywood this season. The sophomore right-hander has tallied 27 strikeouts and a 0.80 ERA across 26.1 innings, according to Misryoum.

Clapp has also been used out of the bullpen, with Misryoum reporting that his outings typically last from one to three innings. Meanwhile, Oakwood High School is thriving, holding a 20-1 record.

This kind of production matters because it can quickly change how a team manages late innings, especially when one pitcher is capable of keeping games under control.

It is not the first time the family’s baseball talent has been in the spotlight. Knoxville himself has previously said he had the ability to play college baseball, though he chose to pursue a career in Los Angeles instead.

Clapp’s baseball arm has even appeared in a lighter, public setting. In 2022, Misryoum reports that he joined Knoxville for an appearance connected to “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where the skit included Clapp striking out his dad.

Last month, Clapp also pitched during the Halo Classic high school baseball showcase in Anaheim, with Misryoum noting that he took the mound at Angel Stadium as part of the event.

Looking ahead, Clapp could be back in action later Monday when Oakwood High School faces Campbell Hall in Los Angeles. For high school programs, these matchups are where standout seasons can be validated.

At the end of the day, performances like this tend to draw attention for both the team and the player, and they can open doors long before the college recruiting conversations begin.
