According to a source, the Princess of Wales is worried about the toll that Charles Spencer‘s recent accusations about King Charles III and his ongoing feud with Prince Harry are taking on the future king of England.

As The Firm continues to be cast in a negative light, Kate and William’s future monarchy might be in jeopardy.
“Kate is begging William to follow his father’s lead and keep the peace,” an insider claimed. “She says they can’t get caught up in this ugly mess. They need to stay focused on protecting the Crown and remaining dignified representatives.”
“Right now her priority is William because he’s in such a terrible state and there’s no end in sight,” the source said.
William believes in ‘keeping a tight lid on family affairs‘
The former Duke of Cambridge reportedly feels betrayed by Princess Diana‘s brother for coming after His Majesty while he battles cancer.
“William believes very strongly in keeping a tight lid on family affairs,” the insider explained.
“Having his uncle dragging his father through the mud like this is his worst nightmare,” they continued. “Not to mention, it’s putting the monarchy in a terrible light at a time when the King is still sick and the whole institution is already under enormous pressure.”
‘There isn’t much’ William can do about royal scandals
With so much chaos and uncertainty, Kate is trying to support William as best she can.
“At this stage there isn’t much William can do, and Kate has been trying to remind him of that,” the source noted.
“Her stance is that there’s no point dwelling on things he simply can’t control. Her advice is to stay busy, focus on the work in front of them and trust that eventually this will pass,” they added.
Kate is taking on the ’emotional load’ for William and Charles
As more uncertainty looms, the former Duchess of Cambridge is doing her best to be there for her spouse and Charles.
“Kate is also taking on as much of the emotional load as she can herself,” the insider revealed.
“It sounds clichéd, but she really is the glue holding everything together right now. William is leaning on her enormously and so is Charles,” they said.
