Quick, someone check President Donald Trump’s hair, because Kaitlan Collins might have blown it back with a major truth bomb.
On Monday’s episode of her CNN show “The Source,” Trump’s favorite journalist rolled a recent clip of the president bragging about his standing among voters.

“I think the polls are inaccurate because I won it by so much and it doesn’t make sense that they wouldn’t be right up there with me,” Trump told reporters Monday in the Oval Office, adding that he thinks he’s “more popular” than he was 18 months ago.
Collins, however, was about to burst his bubble of delusion.
“Now, despite what the president boasted there, the numbers actually don’t line up with what he said. His own approval numbers have actually never been lower, according to the CNN poll of polls, and his numbers on the economy tonight are even worse,” she said.
A CNN graphic then popped up on the screen showing an anemic 35% approval rating for Trump, along with a staggering 64% disapproval rating. Another graphic showed that only 27% of voters approve of his handling of the economy.
“Polls show that three out of four Americans don’t believe the president has a plan for handling high gas prices,” Collins continued. “And sources say that the president’s advisers have also privately acknowledged there’s little expectation that he can win over large numbers of independents and swing voters before Nov. 3.”
Collins also shared a pretty juicy quote from an anonymous Trump adviser who said that the midterm elections in November are “obviously going to be effing rough.”
Trump’s shine beginning to rust can be tied to a cluster of issues, a few of them of his own making: The president’s war with Iran has led to gasoline and diesel prices hitting a record high. This has also caused grocery prices to spike, forcing millions of Americans to reckon with a straight-up affordability crisis.
Although Trump had the gall to utter the words, “I love the inflation” in June, everyday Americans seem pretty “pissed off” about the current state of the economy — at least according to one Trump voter who recently went off on the president to MS NOW.
Penny Lee of Clewiston, Florida, told MS NOW Monday that she regrets voting for Trump in 2024 — and thinks that “a lot of people” feel the same way.
“I’m pissed off about the gas, the food prices, everything. It’s affected everything,” she said.
When asked if she thinks Trump made America “great again” in his second term, Lee shot back with: “No, it’s not. They’ve run it to the ground, and that’s putting it mildly.”
