Jaguars’ 2026 Road Gauntlet Tests Jacksonville and Fan Patience

Jaguars 2026 – Jacksonville opens 2026 at home, but the Jaguars’ season schedule leans heavily on travel, including consecutive “home” games in London, three prime-time appearances, and frequent trips late in the year. Reduced EverBank Stadium capacity from ongoing renovatio

When the Jaguars step on the field in 2026, the month-to-month story won’t be just wins and losses. It will also be mileage, time zones, and a stadium that won’t look the same.

The Jacksonville Jaguars released their 2026 schedule on Thursday, coming off a 13-4 season.. The slate includes consecutive “home” games in London. and for now. three prime-time matchups: a Thursday Night Football visit to the Baltimore Ravens. a Monday Night Football home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. and a Sunday Night Football meeting with the Dallas Cowboys.. They open the season at home against the Cleveland Browns on Sept.. 13 at 1 p.m.. ET.

The toughest part for Jacksonville may be how much the schedule asks of them before the season settles into a rhythm.. The team will play only six games at EverBank Stadium because of renovations. with the upper deck and other sections removed.. The reduced capacity is listed at 42,507.. Only three of the last 10 games will be played in Jacksonville.

That makes the early weeks feel unusually high-stakes.

Start with home, then go long

Week 1 sets the tone: Sept.. 13 at 1 p.m.. ET, Jacksonville vs.. Cleveland Browns.. The Jaguars host an AFC North opponent in what the schedule notes describe as likely sweltering Florida weather.. Cleveland went 5-12 last season and still has major questions at quarterback. setting up a matchup Jacksonville can’t afford to waste.

After that, travel starts quickly. Week 2 sends the Jaguars to Denver for a Sept. 20 game at 4:05 p.m. ET at the Denver Broncos, where Jacksonville dominated last year. The 2026 schedule also puts that matchup among five games against division winners.

The middle of the month keeps the cold-weather theme alive.. On Sept.. 27 at 1 p.m.. ET. Jacksonville hosts the New England Patriots in a home game that follows Buffalo Bills-linked disappointment and a reminder that the Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl after a loss to the Bills.. Then comes Week 4: Oct.. 4 at 1 p.m.. ET at the Cincinnati Bengals. where Jacksonville is looking for “revenge” after last year’s result in Cincinnati. with the Bengals finishing 6-11.

London becomes a defining thread

By Week 5, Jacksonville is already in a stretch that feels built for disruption.. On Oct.. 11 at 9:30 a.m.. ET, the Jaguars play the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the first of back-to-back “home” games in London.. The schedule also marks the third division winner in the first five weeks.

Week 6 continues the international run.. On Oct.. 18 at 9:30 a.m.. ET, Jacksonville hosts the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium.. The game is described as only the third divisional game in London in Jaguars history and the second meeting between the teams at Wembley.. In 2019, Houston beat Jacksonville 26-3.. With that divisional matchup, the schedule positions it as a potential early AFC South swing.

After the London trip, there’s a breather. The Jaguars have a bye in Week 7, which they requested after the London stretch to give crews more time to continue work on stadium renovations.

Prime time and a late-season travel grind

Once Jacksonville returns to the U.S., the schedule keeps asking for quick turnarounds.

Week 8 is Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. ET, at home vs. the Indianapolis Colts. The schedule notes the game is the day after the Georgia-Florida game in Atlanta, and points out the Colts haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014.

The first prime-time clash arrives in Week 9.. On Nov.. 15 at 8:15 p.m.. ET, the Jaguars visit the Baltimore Ravens at the season’s first of three scheduled prime-time games for Jacksonville.. It’s also on Thursday Night Football.. After finishing 8-9 last season and missing the playoffs. the Ravens are expected to contend in the AFC North. and the schedule notes that in the last 20 years Jacksonville and Baltimore have alternated wins. including Baltimore’s 23-7 win in 2023.

Week 10 keeps the road pressure on: Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. ET at the Tennessee Titans, described as the first of two meetings between the AFC South rivals. The schedule places that game in the middle of three straight road games.

The Jaguars then travel again on Week 11. On Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. ET, they play the New York Giants at the Meadowlands. The schedule points out the Giants were 4-13 last season, and that the Thanksgiving travel week can be “hectic,” even with a comparatively favorable matchup.

Week 12 returns Jacksonville home for Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. ET vs. the Tennessee Titans, where it becomes the last divisional rival Jacksonville will face for the first time and the first opponent it will face a second time.

A cold-weather swing in Chicago and another national broadcast spotlight

The Jaguars head to Chicago in Week 13 on Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. ET at the Chicago Bears. The schedule says the weather could be a factor and points to a quarterback storyline: Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence and Chicago’s Caleb Williams could both be former No. 1 picks.

Then comes another prime-time moment.. Week 14 is Dec.. 14 at 8:25 p.m.. ET vs.. the Pittsburgh Steelers, with Jacksonville hosting on Monday Night Football for the fourth consecutive season.. Last year’s prime-time result was a win over the Kansas City Chiefs; now. the schedule puts Jacksonville against the Steelers. the opponent the Jaguars played in the franchise’s first Monday Night Football game in 1997.

Late December brings back-to-back road challenges

Week 15 is Dec.. 20 at 1 p.m.. ET at the Houston Texans, five days before Christmas.. The schedule expects the Texans’ Battle Red jerseys.. Week 16 follows on Dec.. 27 at 8:20 p.m.. ET at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.. The schedule notes Jacksonville has played on Sunday Night Football only twice since NBC took over national broadcast. and this will be only the second time in 18 years the Jaguars play on Sunday Night.

Final weeks: Washington at home, then playoff implications nearby

The season finishes with a familiar final stretch feel, with home then more road. Week 17 is Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. ET, Jacksonville vs. the Washington Commanders, and the schedule calls it the second home game in the final six weeks.

Week 18 is at Indianapolis Colts, with the date and time TBD. The schedule frames it as potentially meaningful for playoff implications for at least one of the competing teams.

With renovations limiting their home schedule. the Jaguars’ biggest test may be whether they can grab momentum before the season’s travel-heavy cadence fully locks in.. The last time Jacksonville earned postseason spots in consecutive seasons was 1998 and 1999. and a quick start is positioned as essential if the team wants to get back to the playoffs in 2026.
