Disney Channel’s Carla Jeffery dies at 33, loved ones share touching tribute to her radiant spirit
Disney Channel actress Carla Jeffrey has died at 33. She passed away on Tuesday, September 1, leaving her family, friends and former co-stars heartbroken.
Her death is a heartbreaking loss for fans of the Zombies franchise, where Jeffery became known for her role as Bree, the bubbly cheerleader and friend of Addison.

Alexander’s Talent Management shared an emotional statement on Instagram after Jeffrey’s death, honoring her as a “beautiful, vibrant and incredibly talented woman.”
The agency also praised her smile, describing her “radiant” grin as something that could “light up any room.”
Per the post, Jeffrey had worked with the talent management since she was 12. The company wrote about how it had the privilege of watching her grow from a talented child into the actress she became.
They also added that she brought “joy, humor and bright spirit” to audiences through her work as Bree. The agency considered her more than a client, calling her “family.”
Alexander’s Talent Management also asked for privacy for her loved ones and ended their statement with a poignant farewell: “Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten.”
Jeffrey’s Disney co-stars also shared their grief. Milo Manheim, who starred alongside Jeffery in the Zombies franchise, said (via ABC7), “Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you.”
Chandler Kinney, who appeared with Jeffery in Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, remembered her as “the brightest shining light in any room she walked into” and “the kindest person you’d ever meet” as he expressed his disbelief over the situation.
How Carl Jeffrey became an adored and familiar face
Jeffrey’s best-known role remains Bree from Disney Channel’s Zombies. She joined in 2018 and played the cheerleader’s part with such ease.
She reprised the character in Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, where Bree remained one of Addison’s closest friends. Jeffrey also returned to the role as a voice actor for Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
The Disney part helped introduce her to a wide audience and her commendable performance established her as a familiar face among the franchise’s fans.
Jeffrey was born on July 10, 1993, in Houston and began her acting career at age 12. The 2006 comedy Phat Girlz marked her film debut and she played a younger version of Mo’Nique’s character.
She later appeared in shows such as American Vandal, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Scream Queens, iCarly, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Southland, Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up.
