UFC 332: Silva vs. Wang continues on the main card with a fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Payton Talbott in the bantamweight division. Check out our UFC 332 odds series for our Figueiredo-Talbott prediction and pick.

Deiveson Figueiredo (25-7-1) has lost four of his last five. He is on a two-fight skid. In January he lost a unanimous decision to Umar Nurmagomedov, and on May 30 Yadong Song submitted him with a second-round guillotine. The ex-champion is a +525 underdog as he comes into his fight this weekend against Payton Talbott.

Payton Talbott (11-1) has won two straight by unanimous decision, over Felipe Lima in June 2025 and Henry Cejudo in December 2025. The Cejudo win was the biggest of his career and ended Cejudo’s career. His only loss was to Raoni Barcelos in January 2025. He hasn’t fought since December, as he comes into his fight this weekend against Deiveson Figueiredo.

Why Deiveson Figueiredo Will Win

Deiveson Figueiredo can beat Payton Talbott by turning a prospect’s coronation into a test of power, experience, and durability. The former two-division champion is 25-7-1 with 18 finishes, and he has fought at the top of the sport for years.

Talbott is 11-1 and has fought far fewer elite opponents. Figueiredo is the more proven threat in the cage, and the 28-year-old has not faced his level of pressure.

Figueiredo has lost his last two fights, which is why he enters as the underdog. That role could help him, since a loss streak often brings sharper focus and removes any sense of comfort.

His path is to make Talbott fight in the pocket and follow every exchange with heavy body work. If Talbott’s volume slows, Figueiredo can step in with the power shots that built his reputation.

Figueiredo also has danger on the mat and in scrambles. Talbott’s only loss came by decision, so he has not yet been tested by a finisher with Figueiredo’s pedigree.

Why Payton Talbott Will Win

Payton Talbott can beat Deiveson Figueiredo by combining youth, sharp striking, and momentum against a former champion who has slowed in recent fights. Talbott is 11-1 at age 28 and comes in ranked No. 11 at bantamweight.

His biggest win came in December 2025, a decision over former two-division champion Henry Cejudo. That fight showed he can handle a decorated veteran on a big stage.

Figueiredo is 25-7-1 and has lost two straight, including a submission loss to Song Yadong in May. At 38, he is a former champion in decline, which is how some previews describe him.

Talbott should use his speed and range to land first and move away before Figueiredo can load up. His combinations should make the ex-champion reset, and Figueiredo’s reaction time may not match what it once was.

Talbott’s seven knockouts give him a real finishing threat if Figueiredo’s defense slips. Sean O’Malley has also said he sees the co-main event as a changing of the guard.

If Talbott stays composed and avoids a brawl, I expect him to build a lead and finish late.

Final Deiveson Figueiredo-Payton Talbott Prediction & Pick

Payton Talbott should beat Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 332, most likely by late TKO or a clear decision. Talbott is 11-1 and ranked No. 11, while Figueiredo is 25-7-1, 38 years old, and on a two-fight losing streak.

Figueiredo still has danger in his hands, and his experience at the top level is real. The best version of him could hurt Talbott if the fight turns into a pocket exchange.

Talbott’s recent win over Henry Cejudo suggests he can handle pressure from a former champion. His speed and range should help him land first and avoid the heavy exchanges Figueiredo wants.

I expect Figueiredo to have a few strong moments early. But Talbott’s volume and movement should take over as the fight goes on.

If Talbott stays disciplined, he should add a second former champion to his résumé. My pick is Talbott by Round 3 TKO.
