‘Street Outlaws’ star Daddy Dave, whose real name is David Comstock, is at the center of an arrest after security footage allegedly shows him planting a GPS tracking device under a vehicle in Bath, New York, on May 12.
When a security camera caught a hooded figure moving near a parked car in Bath, New York, it set off a chain of events that ended with officers taking the suspect away in handcuffs.
The footage. obtained from an overnight scene on May 12. shows what purports to be ‘Street Outlaws’ star Daddy Dave—dressed in all black with a hoodie pulled over his head—walking down a street in Bath.. In the video. the suspect squats beside the parked vehicle and reaches beneath the undercarriage. seemingly to attach a tracking device.
Bath Village Police Chief Donald Lewis says the man seen in the video appears to be Daddy Dave, whose real name is David Comstock. A police press release states that Dave placed the tracking device under the vehicle while being recorded on video.
Still, Daddy Dave denies any involvement. He tells TMZ, “It’s not me. You guys are barking up the wrong tree.”
The clip also shows the suspect hurrying away from the vehicle after the undercarriage reaching. Later, a police officer arrives to investigate, along with two unidentified people. The arrest follows, and the video captures officers taking the suspect away in handcuffs on the street.
As previously reported, Daddy Dave was booked into the jail in the early morning of May 13 on two misdemeanor charges: stalking and criminal tampering. He has since been released.
Police have not disclosed a motive, and what, if any, relationship Dave had with the alleged victim.
The sequence of events is tight and consistent: a May 12 security video allegedly shows the device being placed under the vehicle. officers arrive to investigate afterward. and then an arrest results that same chain of activity—before Dave is booked in the early morning of May 13 on stalking and criminal tampering charges.
