A 77-year-old pedestrian was killed following a crash involving two vehicles in Sterling, Virginia, Wednesday night.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the area of Innovation Avenue near Sully Road at around 8 p.m. for reports of a car striking a pedestrian.
When deputies arrived, they found Jacqueline Heaps, 77, along with a sedan and an SUV involved in the crash. Both drivers stayed at the scene and were not hurt.
Heaps, of Sterling, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The sheriff’s office said it does not believe that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash at this time.
