A Florida court handed down a probation sentence to looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular after the viral incident that kept playing out on livestream.
Clavicular — real name Braden Peters — pleaded no contest to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public. He avoided jail time under a plea agreement reached on Friday, May 15, with the court sentencing him to six months of probation.
The terms include 20 hours of community service and a firearms safety course. Court records also stated that Clavicular could not livestream the community service, according to the New York Times.
The charge will be removed from his record if he follows the terms of the plea deal. His lawyer, Jeffrey Neiman, said in a statement that the influencer “accepted responsibility for his conduct and reached a resolution that appropriately reflects the circumstances of this incident.”
The sentencing caps a case that became public through an Everglades livestream in March. Clavicular shot a dead alligator in the Florida Everglades. The alligator was already deceased when Clavicular received permission from the boat’s driver to shoot it.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was informed and issued a statement after it became aware of the video.. The agency said: “The FWC is aware of a video depicting individuals in the Everglades on an airboat who appear to be discharging firearms at an alligator.. FWC officers are looking into the incident and will provide additional information when available.”
Clavicular later faced additional fallout online.. His two YouTube channels — @LiveWithCl and @ClavLooksmax — were shut down.. The 20-year-old internet personality wrote via X on Thursday. April 23 that the channels were terminated “with no warning or explanation. ” adding that the channels consisted of livestream VODs and free courses.
In the same post, he said: “No individual was injured, and the alligator involved was already deceased prior to the events at issue.”
The episode arrived amid a stretch of headlines for the influencer. including an April hospitalization after a suspected overdose during a livestream.. He shared an update while posting a selfie with blood visible on his face. writing via X at the time. “Just got home. that was brutal.” He added: “All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public. but obviously that isn’t a real solution. ” and said. “The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”
Hours after he was released from the hospital. Clavicular said he would appear at the grand opening of the Bacara nightclub in Miami. Florida.. In the aftermath. it was reported that his PR person. Mitchell Jackson. quit working with him until he agreed to get treatment for his addiction.. A report said Clavicular had recently left the hospital against medical advice after an OD incident.
For now, the legal side of the alligator case is moving toward closure through probation — with a clear line drawn by the court on what he must do next: 20 hours of community service, a firearms safety course, and no livestreaming of the required work.
