Broncos’ RJ Harvey misses practice after MNF with hamstring injury

Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey missed an estimated Week 2 practice with a hamstring injury following Monday’s MNF loss.

The Denver Broncos listed running back RJ Harvey as a nonparticipant on their estimated practice report Wednesday because of a hamstring injury following their 31-10 Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Denver released its first injury report ahead of its Week 2 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with Harvey among two offensive players who would not have practiced.

Wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. was also listed as a nonparticipant because of a foot injury. Outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (shoulder) and wide receiver Troy Franklin (knee) were listed as full participants.

Harvey’s status will be worth monitoring as the Broncos move through the rest of the practice week. The running back’s hamstring issue comes as Denver attempts to regroup from a difficult season opener against its AFC West rival.

The estimated designation does not necessarily indicate whether Harvey will be available Sunday, with the Broncos still having multiple days to evaluate his progress before their Week 2 game.

Denver will look to rebound after allowing the Chiefs to pull away for a 21-point victory in Week 1.

The Broncos will face the Jaguars on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS as they search for their first victory of the 2026 season.
