When Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked whether he’ll make it to the “social event of our lifetime,” his answer came with a grin and one very specific condition.
Speaking in an interview with The Drive on 96.5 The Fan, Reid was asked if he’d been invited to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding. Reid said he “probably” would be invited—and likely would accept—though the key detail was whether he can still pull off the look in time.
“If I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going,” Reid quipped.
The interviewer suggested Reid would need a brand-new suit for the occasion.. Reid laughed it off, insisting he isn’t there to steal attention.. “I’m not the show,” Reid said.. “I’m just gonna show up — I’m so happy for them.. When you really come down to it. it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them; they’re in love. and that’s the most important thing.”
Beyond the humor, the tone was clear: Reid expects to be part of Kelce’s big day if the circumstances allow it. It also fits the long-running connection between coach and player, since Kelce has been one of Reid’s standout performers since both joined the Chiefs in 2013.
