Alix Earle calls Alex Cooper the ‘Grim Reaper’ again

Alix Earle didn’t just repost a TikTok this week—she basically lit the match and then watched the comments do their job.
On Thursday, April 9, Earle, 25, shared a clip that painted Alex Cooper, 31, as a sort of opportunist. The video, posted by Ashley Tiscareno (aka “The Bravo Mom”), called Cooper the “Grim Reaper.” And yes, it’s one of those labels that instantly lands with people because it sounds dramatic—like, headline dramatic.
Tiscareno’s argument is that Cooper shows up right after someone’s worst day, then turns that pain into an interview moment. In the TikTok, she compares Cooper to “an ambulance chaser,” saying: “I would honestly compare Alex Cooper to an ambulance chaser. Like, you just had the most horrific accident of your life, you’re hanging on by a thread, don’t know if you’re gonna make it and she’s the first one there.” She also pointed out how Cooper is known for interviewing stars shortly after they’ve gone through hard life events, including breakups, divorces and more.
“She’s the Grim Reaper. She wants to get the exclusive interview. She wants to be there when you’re vulnerable and broken down and you’re ready to sign over your rights to your life,” Tiscareno explained. Then she piled on the broader critique: “She’s so awful and I wish that more women — celebrities, female athletes, reality stars, anyone — would stop making that their first stop after something happens in their lives. She is profiting off of women’s heartaches and failures.”
That last line—profiting off heartaches—also becomes the emotional trigger for a lot of viewers. Tiscareno framed it as not “girl power,” adding: “That’s not girl power,” and you could practically feel the comment section split into two camps from there.
After Earle reposted the now-viral clip, fans flooded the comments. One wrote, “Alix reposting has me FLOORED,” while another added, “We stan with ALIX always.” A third user said, “I’ve never seen Alix Earle say anything negative or unkind about anyone ever, so knowing she had a fall out with Alex Cooper is so telling – team Alix.” Misryoum newsroom also noted that the tone wasn’t subtle—people weren’t just reacting to the metaphor, they were also referencing the bigger “fall out” storyline.
Misryoum has reached out to both Earle and Cooper’s respective representatives for comment. The back-and-forth has history: Earle previously had a podcast titled “Hot Mess” under Cooper’s Unwell Network. It launched in September 2023, was dropped from the network in February 2025, and then—later that month—Earle broke her silence on the matter via TikTok, saying, “Obviously, there’s been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work. And I also have no idea what’s going on.” In March 2025, she then said her podcast was taking “a pause,” adding, “Don’t really want to get into the details of it all, and I kind of can’t get into the details of it all right now, but I’ve loved it so much, and I’m really proud of what I built with the podcast.”
Hours later, Cooper responded to the alleged drama on Instagram, writing: “Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can’t/what’s going on. Unwell gave her everything back. She owns her IP.” And now, with Earle reposting a clip that calls Cooper the “Grim Reaper,” the internet is treating it like fresh proof—or maybe just more gasoline, depending on who you ask. Somewhere in all of that, it’s hard not to notice the small real-world detail too: the TikTok sound bites are moving fast, like that quick scroll-away moment when someone’s phone buzzes and you think, “Wait—what did she just post?”
Whatever the truth behind the drama, the timing keeps working against the quiet version of events.
