UNTHA UK appoints four new staff in Boroughbridge

UNTHA UK, the industrial shredder specialist based in Boroughbridge, has announced a quartet of appointments as the company keeps expanding.
The biggest shake-up is in sales. Dale Liptrott joins the North Yorkshire firm as an experienced sales consultant, bringing a decade of experience—most recently selling capital equipment at CPL UK. His remit is pretty clear: meet new customers, build long-term relationships, and spot business opportunities as they show up.
There’s also Rich Wakeley, added to the sales department with a strong background spanning construction, powered access, manufacturing, logistics, and plant hire industries. With more than 12 years in corporate sales—especially focused on large-scale plant machinery and tools—Rich is expected to help UNTHA maintain customer excellence, from first enquiries through to continuing work with established clients.
Marketing isn’t being left to chance either. Alice Kelly becomes the company’s marketing and content manager. She’s worked with UNTHA for over four years as a supplier, and now moves into a proactive PR and marketing role with experience across technical industries. Her job is to develop and deliver multichannel communication strategies, working alongside global marketing coordinators while using data-led discussions to assess marketing performance—particularly around demand and lead generation in the UK market.
Then there’s Mark Sandercock, rounding out the new lineup as a service engineer. An experienced mechanical fitter and service engineer, he’s previously worked on maintaining heavy plant machinery. In this role, he’ll provide service, repair, and installation support across the UNTHA range, along with strategic advice meant to keep customers’ shredders running at peak performance. (You can almost picture the workshop—gear oil smell, spanners clinking, that half-second pause before the machine starts back up.)
The appointments come with a broader push under the hood: UNTHA UK says it has also made a six-figure investment in technology. The company is developing its ERP platform and wider IT estate, building on its earlier recognition in the Top Tech 100 listings, where it was once described as a ‘leading light’. UNTHA UK managing director Marcus Brew framed the hiring and tech push as tightly linked to growth.
“These strategic appointments mark a significant milestone in our period of continued growth and reflect our commitment to further expanding our capabilities and strengthening our team,” Brew said. “We are thrilled to welcome Dale, Rich, Alice, and Mark to UNTHA UK. Their diverse expertise and proven track records will be instrumental in driving our future success. As we continue to innovate and expand, their contributions will ensure we maintain our position as industry leaders. We are very excited about the opportunities ahead.”
