Wells Fargo Rewards adds Wyndham as a transfer partner

Wells Fargo Rewards just quietly got more useful for hotel fans—on April 15, the program added Wyndham Rewards to its transfer partner lineup.

The big headline is the transfer ratio. Misryoum newsroom reported that Wells Fargo points can now be transferred to Wyndham at a 1:2 ratio, meaning travelers can get 2 Wyndham points for every 1 Wells Fargo point moved over. It’s one of those changes that sounds small until you actually do the math.

Misryoum editorial team stated that Wyndham Rewards remains one of the few major hotel loyalty programs still using award charts. The program uses a three-tier structure: 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per award night. And yes, the details still matter—especially because award charts can make it easier to predict the cost of a stay, rather than guessing how pricing will swing.

There’s also a perk for certain cardholders: Misryoum analysis indicates that select Wyndham Rewards credit card holders receive 10% off nights fully booked with points. So for people who already have Wyndham-linked credit cards, this new Wells Fargo option may be more of an “upgrade” than a brand-new door.

On the valuation front, Misryoum newsroom reported that TPG’s April 2026 valuations peg Wyndham points at 0.65 cents each. That’s not necessarily the ceiling—sometimes you can do much better when you redeem. Misryoum editorial desk noted an example tied to a stay at TRYP by Wyndham Pulteney Street Adelaide during the Australian Football League’s annual Gather Round tournament, where 3.48 cents per point was reportedly achieved.

To make the transfer work, you link a Wyndham Rewards account to an eligible Wells Fargo credit card. Misryoum newsroom reported that all Wells Fargo credit cards that earn rewards points qualify for this new redemption option, including the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card and the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey℠ Card.

Wyndham isn’t everyone’s main hotel program. In Misryoum newsroom reporting, it’s described as a backup that can be particularly handy when other loyalty currencies suddenly get expensive. And if you’ve ever been stuck staring at a hotel price while the airport air feels like warm carpet—actually, you know the moment—you’ll get why these shifts matter. Several other transferable points currencies can transfer to Wyndham at a 1:1 ratio or worse, so the 1:2 setup from Wells Fargo is the part travelers will remember.

Bottom line: Misryoum editorial team stated that Wells Fargo Rewards joining Wyndham Rewards at a 1:2 transfer ratio is a meaningful change, especially for people who like having more options when hotel redemption rates jump.
