In the NFL, Heinicke recorded 42 games with 29 starts, completing 62.5% of his passes for 6,663 yards. His statistical line includes 39 touchdown throws and 28 interceptions, numbers that underline both his playmaking ability and the risks that often came with aggressive quarterback decisions.
His career also included a standout postseason moment with Washington. In a wild-card loss to the Buccaneers in 2020, Heinicke produced a performance with 306 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception, while also adding rushing impact with 46 yards and a touchdown.
