A Mandaue City SWAT officer is recovering from a broken leg after being struck by an unidentified motorcyclist in a hit-and-run incident in Cebu City.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:07 a.m.. in Sitio Agpasan, located in the mountain barangay of Mabini, Cebu City.
Police Corporal Jemar Nodado Solamillo, a 30-year-old resident of Barangay Canduman, was riding his Honda Click motorcycle toward Talamban when the accident took place.. As he navigated a winding, sloped section of the road, he was suddenly struck by an oncoming motorcycle that had swerved into his lane.
This incident highlights the ongoing dangers faced by motorcyclists on Cebu’s mountainous roads, where visibility and sharp turns frequently increase the risk of serious collisions.
The impact was severe enough to throw both riders from their vehicles.. Fortunately, a relative of Corporal Solamillo happened to pass by the area shortly after the crash..
