A Range Rover deal that previously felt out of reach just got sharper: certain SV SUVs are now available for up to Rs 75 lakh less, and the shift is being linked to trade arrangements reshaping vehicle pricing.
In Misryoum’s coverage of the latest developments. the focus is on the India-UK FTA’s impact on select models—specifically the Range Rover SV and the Range Rover Sport SV—where price tags have been revised downward.. The change arrives after a delay in market impact. but it is now showing up clearly at the ex-showroom level for the affected variants.
For the Range Rover Sport SV, the ex-showroom price has dropped from Rs 2.75 crore to Rs 2.35 crore. Meanwhile, the Range Rover SV has moved from Rs 4.25 crore down to Rs 3.5 crore, marking the steepest reduction in the lineup covered by this update.
This matters because high-end car buyers often watch not only model launches but also the cost of import-linked components, where trade policy can quickly ripple into showroom pricing.
Looking at how these cuts translate into percentage changes. the Range Rover Sport SV “Edition Two” is down by about Rs 40 lakh (roughly a 15% reduction).. The flagship Range Rover SV sees a larger adjustment of about Rs 75 lakh (around 17.7% lower). making the pricing shift among the most noticeable in this category.
Meanwhile, attention is also turning to other premium offerings.. Misryoum notes that additional reductions are expected for the Defender that is built-in-Slovakia. with upcoming changes being attributed to the India-EU FTA.. The projected reduction for the Defender is described as around Rs 46 lakh, approximately a 38% drop over the outgoing model.
Even with these updates, not every Land Rover model is expected to follow the same path. Misryoum highlights that other variants will remain unaffected, largely because they are locally assembled, meaning the pricing impact tied to these trade deals may not apply in the same way.
