Pixel 11 leak: Tensor G6 modem shift and new Pixel Glow

A new Pixel 11 leak points to a modem change, updated camera sensors, and a Nothing-inspired Pixel Glow feature on the camera bar.

Google’s next Pixel wave may be changing under the hood—and a fresh Pixel 11 leak suggests it’s not just a routine upgrade.

The reported Pixel 11 lineup details center on Google’s Tensor G6 chip.. Instead of sticking with Samsung’s modem approach. the leak claims the Tensor G6 would pair with a MediaTek M90 modem.. It also describes a CPU setup using ARM C1 cores in a 1+4+2 arrangement. alongside a PowerVR C-Series GPU. a Titan M3 security chip. and a new TPU referred to with the codename “Santafe.” On the imaging side. an updated image signal processor is also mentioned under the codename “Metis.”

This kind of modem swap matters because it can influence everything from connectivity behavior to how consistently a phone maintains performance across networks, even when everyday tasks look identical on the surface.

Camera changes are another major theme in the leak.. The base Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are said to get a new 50MP main sensor code-named “chemosh.” Meanwhile. the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are rumored to receive refreshed main and telephoto sensors. labeled “bastet” and “barghest.” If these internal names line up with the final hardware. it would indicate Google is refreshing optics across multiple models rather than narrowing upgrades to one variant.

Meanwhile. there’s also a design-minded feature that sounds like it’s borrowing from the “light as an interface” idea that popularized Nothing’s Glyph concept.. The leak describes a new “Pixel Glow” feature that would use small LEDs on the camera bar. replacing the temperature sensor found on current Pro models.. Google’s face unlock hardware. internally referred to as Project Toscana. is also said to be delayed and would not appear in the Pixel 11 series.

That matters because Pixel Glow could become a visible, quick-access status layer—while a face unlock delay may push more users to rely on existing unlock methods during the initial launch window.

Beyond the headline features, the leak lists additional display and battery expectations across the range.. The Pixel 11 is described with a 6.3-inch OLED display and a 60–120Hz refresh rate. while the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL move to higher-resolution 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch panels with different peak brightness claims.. The Pro Fold is described with an additional inner display. as well as specific outer and inner display resolutions and refresh rates.. Battery capacities are also included for each model, along with RAM configurations and color options where applicable.

Misryoum notes that while leaks should be treated carefully until a formal reveal. the direction here points to a deeper hardware refresh cycle: modem and compute changes. sensor updates across the lineup. and a new camera-bar lighting feature.. If Google follows through, Pixel 11 could feel more like a step forward in system-level design than a typical year-over-year variation.

Google is expected to announce the Pixel 11 lineup in August, with more details likely to surface in the months leading up to launch.
