Minjee Lee joins women’s indoor team golf league
Australian star Minjee Lee and several other top LPGA players have signed on for the upcoming women's tech-infused indoor golf league.
World number seven Minjee Lee is headlining a fresh wave of talent committing to the newly launched women’s indoor team golf league. The initiative, designed as a female-focused counterpart to existing tech-integrated golf circuits, is rapidly gaining traction among the sport’s elite.
Joining Lee in the latest roster announcement are accomplished LPGA figures including Celine Boutier and Danielle Kang. The list of recruits also features world number 24 Andrea Lee, U.S. Solheim Cup regular Megan Khang, and three-time Olympian Albane Valenzuela.
This expansion signals a shift in how professional golf is consumed, moving beyond traditional outdoor courses into a high-tech arena setting.. By integrating digital innovations with competitive team play, the league aims to modernize the spectator experience while keeping the focus on top-tier athletic performance.
With these new additions, the league has now secured commitments from 14 professional golfers. Notably, this group includes five of the top ten ranked players in the world, lending significant credibility to the project.
According to Misryoum, the league is building substantial momentum as a global platform for LPGA stars to showcase their skills in a team format.. The organization emphasized that the interest from major champions and international stars highlights the league’s growing appeal to team ownership groups and potential stakeholders.
The inaugural season is scheduled to kick off later this year. Matches will be held at the purpose-built SoFi Center located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, marking a new chapter for the sport’s venue technology.
As the golf industry seeks to engage younger audiences, this indoor league serves as a tactical experiment in bridging traditional professional play with modern entertainment preferences.
