Shrewsbury police suspended Shawn Valliere, 53, and the case has now moved into the criminal system. According to court records cited in a police statement of facts, Valliere faces two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault on a family member.
Police say the allegations include an especially alarming claim: Valliere allegedly put a gun into his mouth and asked his wife to pull the trigger..
