Misryoum reports that federal safety regulators have flagged an issue on certain Ford Ranger models, warning that the affected wiring could potentially degrade and lead to an electrical short near the A-pillar. The campaign covers 140,201 vehicles across the 2024 to 2026 model years.
The concern centers on wiring connected to the sun visor and headliner.. Regulators say the wiring may be routed incorrectly or wrapped with too much tape. conditions that can wear the harness over time.. If an electrical short occurs. it may create hazards that extend beyond fire risk. including the possibility of crashes or injuries.
