Falcons Add Zachariah Branch With Four Draft Pick Signings

Atlanta has signed four of its draft selections, including third-round WR Zachariah Branch, as the offseason roster takes shape.

Atlanta’s offseason momentum shifted this week as the Falcons moved to sign four of their draft picks, headlined by third-round wide receiver Zachariah Branch.

The group includes sixth-round linebacker Harold Perkins, along with Branch, fourth-round linebacker Kendal Daniels and seventh-round offensive lineman Ethan Onianwa. Misryoum reports that Atlanta’s additions round out a class aimed at strengthening multiple positions ahead of the new season.

Branch, taken with the 79th overall pick, arrived with production built during his college stops. He played the 2025 season at Georgia after two seasons at Southern California, totaling 38 games and 159 catches for 1,634 yards and nine touchdowns across three seasons.

This matters because early contract signings give teams clarity for camp preparation. With more draft picks locked in, Atlanta can focus on fit, playbook installation, and role definition rather than extended negotiations.

Daniels was selected 134th overall and brings a track record from Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. Over five seasons, he appeared in 52 games with 41 starts, compiling 293 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss, 16 passes defensed, 7.5 sacks, five interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Onianwa, the 231st pick, developed through four seasons at Rice before transferring to Ohio State for the 2025 campaign. Misryoum notes that he made 25 consecutive starts at right tackle in 2022 and 2023, then moved to left tackle and started all nine games he played in 2024.

While these signings do not settle on-field roles by themselves, they often signal how quickly a team intends to integrate its newest players. For the Falcons, adding contributors at receiver, linebacker and along the offensive line provides more options as training camp approaches.

Finally, Atlanta’s draft-pick batch also offers a broad foundation across offense and defense. With Branch, Daniels and Onianwa joining Perkins, the Falcons are building depth and competition in key areas heading into the next phase of the offseason.
