At its own Next event. Misryoum reports that the company showcased two smartphone designs that were already previewed in China earlier this year.. The key detail is that neither device has actually launched for buyers yet. and Misryoum says Dreame has only shared limited specifications so far.. That makes this more of a “we’re serious” signal than a clear, ready-to-buy product rollout.
The more intriguing of the two is the Aurora Nex LS1. a modular concept built around a magnetic attachment point on the back where a typical camera array would sit.. Misryoum notes that Dreame says it will offer multiple module options. ranging from camera add-ons to an action-oriented setup. plus elements like a cooling fan and a satellite communications module.. There’s even a “Smart Agent Module. ” an idea that suggests Dreame wants the phone’s identity to change depending on what you attach.
This matters because modular phones are notoriously difficult to make seamless in day-to-day use.. Even when the hardware concept is compelling. consumers typically expect reliable ergonomics. pricing that stays sensible. and software that treats modules as first-class features rather than accessories.
Dreame’s second offering, the Aurora Lux, is less about one device and more about a broad “series” of variations.. Misryoum says the designs lean heavily into luxury styling. with options that reportedly include leather finishes and gem-like decoration. alongside different camera layouts across versions.. Dreame claims there are dozens of variants. a number that reads more like marketing ambition than a straightforward manufacturing lineup. especially for a company known primarily for home robotics.
On the software front. Misryoum reports that both phones are expected to run Aurora AIOS. described by Dreame as an operating system built around proactive help rather than passive responses.. It’s presented as an Android-based experience enhanced with AI features. with Misryoum pointing out that the company says the OS is planned for the second half of 2026.
If Aurora AIOS timing lines up with the first handsets. the bet is clear: Dreame wants to arrive with both a distinctive hardware angle and an AI-driven service pitch..
