In this case, the CPSC said the battery packaging did not meet the required child-resistant standards.. That failure increases the risk of internal burns or death if a child ingests a coin battery.. Also flagged as a household hazard are Svnntaa portable bed rails, which the CPSC said are associated with entrapment and asphyxiation risks. Regulators noted that the design can create dangerous gaps, where a user could become trapped between a mattress and the bed frame.
Beyond gaps, the CPSC described additional problems tied to the Svnntaa rails, including stability failures and faulty locking mechanisms.. Meanwhile, nearly 700 EVLWZL and Gunugu mattresses are being pulled after they failed to meet federal flammability standards.. These products were sold online on Amazon, as well as Walmart and Wayfair, from October 2025 through March 2026.. The CPSC warned that the mattresses may not resist ignition as required, creating a fire risk in the home.
For consumers who purchased the EVLWZL or Gunugu mattresses, the recall guidance does not focus on a simple return. Instead, buyers are being offered a remedy kit that includes a protective cover intended to bring the product into compliance with the relevant requirements.
The agency also issued a recall for protective gear, including about 2,200 Favoto bike helmets sold on Amazon between April 2022 and January 2026. The CPSC said the helmets fail to meet impact and stability requirements, which are central to how helmets protect riders.
According to the CPSC notice, the helmets may not stay in place or provide sufficient protection during a crash.. In practical terms. that undermines the core purpose of a helmet—keeping the head protected and the gear secured at the moment it matters most.. Regulators warned that the detachable component could be swallowed, creating a serious or even fatal choking hazard..
