Popular Disney Holiday Event Sells Out for Thanksgiving Eve in Orlando

Travelers hoping to combine a Florida vacation with a festive holiday celebration at Walt Disney World on the eve of Thanksgiving will need to adjust their plans, as tickets for a flagship seasonal event have officially sold out.

Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, are no longer available for the night of November 25, according to the event’s official ticketing platform. Prior to selling out, adult tickets for the November 25 gathering were priced at $209 per person for guests aged 10 and older.

Despite the sellout for the specific holiday-eve date, visitors still have multiple opportunities to experience the seasonal celebration during the Thanksgiving week. Tickets remained available as of Tuesday for subsequent holiday party dates, including November 27 at $219 per adult and November 29 at $214 per adult.

Park officials emphasize that the capacity restriction applies exclusively to the separately ticketed evening celebration rather than daytime operations. Standard daytime admission tickets to the Magic Kingdom were still available for November 25 at the time of publication.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an after-hours event that transforms the park on select nights through November and December. The program features exclusive entertainment, seasonal treats, specialized decorations, and distinct character experiences that are unavailable during regular operating hours. Key attractions include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, showcasing holiday floats, Disney characters, and Santa Claus, along with the Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.

The after-hours festivities officially run from 7 p.m. to midnight. However, ticket holders are permitted to enter the Magic Kingdom starting at 4 p.m. to enjoy regular rides and attractions before the evening program begins. Attendance requires a dedicated event ticket, as regular daytime admission, Park Hopper tickets, and annual passes do not grant access to the Christmas party.

Guests holding confirmed tickets for the November 25 date may attend the event as scheduled. Travelers who missed out on the Thanksgiving eve slot can select alternative dates or modify their holiday itineraries.

Beyond the immediate Thanksgiving week schedule, holiday party tickets remain available for various dates in December, specifically December 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 18.

Looking further ahead, travelers planning a Disney World vacation for the 2027 holiday season should anticipate higher costs. A standard one-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom for Thanksgiving Day 2027 is currently priced at $224 per adult, representing an increase from this year’s $209 rate. Disney released its 2027 pricing structure earlier this month, with peak admission reaching a record $229 per adult for the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on the most in-demand dates of the year, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
