Eyewitness Recounts Taylor Swift Security Incident During Chiefs Game at Arrowhead Stadium

An eyewitness has come forward with new details regarding an in-stadium encounter involving Taylor Swift during Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium, describing how venue security handled a fan who approached the Grammy winner’s VIP suite.
The incident took place as Swift watched the matchup between the Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers, alongside guests including Caitlin Clark and Este Haim. During the game, video footage captured Swift gesturing from her suite toward an individual directly below her, appearing to mouth remarks directing the fan to put down their phone and watch the action on the field.
Podcast host Ashlie Molstad, who was seated nearby with a friend, recounted to reporters that the situation began when an unfamiliar spectator suddenly appeared in their row. Molstad stated that she and her companion were positioned five seats inward, watching as the individual crossed over multiple rows of seating.
“Next thing I knew, she was right next to me shouting Taylor’s name,” Molstad recalled, adding that she could not directly see the pop star from her specific seat but immediately noticed Swift’s security detail stepping in.
According to Molstad, security personnel instructed the woman that she was not in her assigned seat and needed to leave the area. The individual reportedly responded that she had traveled from Germany and was dressed in Oktoberfest attire, but guards repeated that she had to vacate the row. When the fan attempted to lift her phone to take a quick photograph, a security guard raised a hand to block the camera.
Molstad characterized the interaction as controlled rather than explosive, stating that the guard avoided making a major scene. “He just put his hand up and said, ‘I don’t care. These are not your seats,’” she noted, adding that there was no massive confrontation and praising the professional demeanor of the security team.
Beyond that specific interaction, Molstad described a broader atmosphere of disruption in the section, noting that multiple attendees were yelling, holding up signs, and stopping in aisles instead of watching the game. In a separate incident during the same event, Molstad and her friend alerted police officers stationed outside the suite after observing a man pressed against the suite window making gestures toward the glass. Officers subsequently removed the individual.
Molstad defended Swift’s response to the attention, expressing her belief that the singer handles intense public scrutiny well and was primarily focused on the game. She also noted that despite being self-described fans of the artist, she and her friend made a deliberate point not to add to the chaos.
The game itself concluded with a 22-6 victory for the Kansas City Chiefs over the Los Angeles Chargers. The weekend event followed another high-profile appearance for Swift, who attended the Academy Museum’s annual gala the previous day, where she performed an original song titled “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the forthcoming film “Toy Story 5.”
